The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, operating, and continuously improving the design quality control system in compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards and ISO 19650 BIM standards to ensure:
Design deliverables meet technical, legal, and client requirements.
Consistency and coordination among all disciplines.
Minimization of design errors and construction-related risks.
Enhancement of the company's professional standards and reputation through Value Engineering solutions and design optimization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design Quality Control
Review, inspect, and approve design documents before issuance, including Concept Design, Basic Design, Fire Protection Design, Construction Drawings, and related documents.
Ensure coordination and consistency among Architecture, Structure, MEP, Infrastructure, Landscape, and Interior disciplines.
Organize and supervise BIM clash detection processes.
Verify elevations, dimensions, technical specifications, symbols, and schedules.
Ensure consistency among drawings, specifications, BOQs, and related documents.
Ensure compliance with Vietnamese construction regulations, applicable international standards, and client requirements.
2. QA/QC System Development and Standardization
Develop quality control procedures for each design stage.
Establish quality inspection checklists for each discipline.
Standardize drawing templates, presentation standards, and file naming conventions.
Develop and manage BIM family libraries and internal BIM standards.
Establish document issuance and archival procedures.
Propose improvements to interdisciplinary coordination processes.
3. Technical Risk Management
Analyze design-related errors and construction-site issues.
Propose preventive measures and process improvements.
Participate in resolving critical technical issues.
Collaborate with Discipline Leaders to resolve complex technical conflicts and implement Value Engineering solutions to optimize construction costs.
4. Internal Capability Assessment and Development
Evaluate design quality performance across disciplines.
Participate in developing technical competency assessment criteria.
Propose training programs to improve design quality.
Mentor and guide technical teams to achieve higher quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related fields.
Valid Design Practice Certificate is mandatory (Class I Certificate is an advantage).
ISO 9001 Quality Management certification is preferred.
2. Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in design consulting and engineering.
Experience leading or participating in high-rise, mixed-use, or Grade I construction projects.
Practical experience in resolving technical issues during construction.
Strong understanding of technical design documentation processes.
Proficiency in Revit/BIM and clash detection software such as Navisworks is highly preferred.
