The Concept Architect Leader is responsible for developing and directing architectural design concepts during the conceptual design stage, ensuring aesthetic value, creativity, and practical feasibility. This role also leads the Concept Design Team in delivering optimal architectural solutions for projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Concept Development
Study project briefs, planning regulations, site context, and client requirements.
Establish the overall architectural concept and design direction.
Develop design narratives and architectural language.
Create and refine floor plans, massing studies, and building façade concepts.
2. Design Development & Quality Control
Develop concept proposals from preliminary ideas to finalized concepts.
Control and maintain design quality regarding form, proportion, functionality, and aesthetics.
Ensure design solutions comply with planning regulations, construction requirements, and practical implementation feasibility.
3. Design Presentation
Prepare concept design packages, including layouts, diagrams, mood boards, and renderings.
Present and defend design proposals directly to clients and stakeholders.
Receive feedback and guide design revisions accordingly.
4. Team Leadership & Management
Assign tasks and manage the Concept Design Team.
Mentor, supervise, and ensure the quality of work produced by team members.
Define and maintain internal design standards and architectural direction.
5. Multidisciplinary Coordination
Collaborate with Technical Design, Structural, and MEP teams during the preliminary design phase.
Deliver clear and comprehensive concept documentation to the BIM/Revit implementation team.
Monitor project development to ensure the original design vision is maintained throughout subsequent stages.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in architectural design.
Proven experience in concept design for high-rise buildings, commercial developments, hotels, and residential apartment projects.
Experience leading or playing a key role in large-scale projects.
2. Knowledge & Skills
Strong creative thinking and concept development capabilities.
Proficiency in the following design software:
SketchUp / Rhino / 3Ds Max
Lumion / Enscape / V-Ray
Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
Solid understanding of urban planning regulations, building codes, and construction standards.
Excellent presentation, communication, and design proposal defense skills.
3. Leadership Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage design teams.
Strategic thinking in architectural design and project branding.
